About Me

My name is Clara Brown, I was born and raised in Africa. While earning my bachelor’s degree in Economic Education, I began my entry in the beauty industry in 2009. I learned how to become a makeup artist from a local professional. I began freelance work for weddings, shows, and other events. That’s when I developed a true love for seeing people look beautiful and knowing it was my handwork that enhanced their beauty brought me great joy.

After graduation I worked in various business fields, but still never felt fulfilled. I still had that drive to make people look beautiful and share in their joy. This is when fashion design became my outlet for joy. Training in a new industry as an apprentice wasn’t easy for me, as I had been used to taking the lead in my previous professional positions. My drive for fashion design and seeing my creations come to life brought back my joy.

For each client I have three goals, which are to make them standout, have them smile with confidence, and leave them feeling satisfied with a design that is exactly what they wanted. Seeing my clients look beautiful in their custom-made design is what made me become a seamstress. I created Cladel’s Couture to give you a chance for that distinctive look.
